Audience at the Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi were left tapping their feet to Korean fusion music at a concert titled Ensemble Su organised by the council in collaboration with the Korean Consulate Karachi.
The concert, featuring Korean traditional and modern music, was attended by Korean Consul General Yi Sungho; Karachi Commissioner Muhammad Iqbal Memon; and Executive Director of the Arts Council, Daniyal Umar. Notable singer Natasha Baig also performed alongside Korean musicians.
Expressing his views on cultural exchange, Consul General Korea Yi Sungho emphasised the significance of cultural programs in fostering bilateral cultural ties.
He acknowledged the distinctiveness of Pakistani and Korean cultures and expressed his belief that such events would strengthen the cultural relationship between the two nations.
Sungho took pride in the collaboration between the Korean group "Ensemble Su" and Pakistani singer Natasha Baig, and extended his gratitude to the ACP for their support.
Commissioner Karachi Muhammad Iqbal Memon, present at the occasion, praised the ACP Karachi as a remarkable institution that significantly contributes to the promotion of arts and culture.
ACP Executive Director, Daniyal Umar, highlighted the importance of cultural programs in bringing different nations closer. He expressed his hope that this particular event would further enhance the bond between Pakistan and Korea. Umar also emphasised the boundless nature of art and the valuable learning opportunities it provides for artists from both countries.
As a gesture of appreciation, he presented a bouquet to Consul General of Korea, Yi Sungho.
